The Art Library is home to a vast collection of art auction catalogues, dating from the 1960s to the present day. We carry the catalogues from Christie's, Sotheby's, Bonhams and some of the French auction houses.
We stock a range of artist monographs, art reference works and treasures of Victorian and Edwardian art. Reference works on sculpture, painting, drawing, design and commercial art are all to be found on our shelves alongside antiquarian books relating to artists and their work.
Search through the shelves to find gems such as the correspondence of the family of Thomas Rooke RA, Victorian museum guides and other delightful rarities. You will find the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood here and many of the luminaries of the Arts & Crafts movement.
We also carry all the exhibition catalogues for the Julian Hartnoll Gallery and Hartnoll & Eyre published since the 1960s (including Herbert Draper, Ludwig von Hoffman, Eugene Jansson). Julian Hartnoll's exceptional book, 'The Reproductive Engravings after Burne-Jones' is on sale exclusively here and can be signed by the author at no extra charge.
We are sole stockists of original copies of the exhibition catalogues of John Bratby's work at the Julian Hartnoll Gallery and the collected work of the artists of the Kitchen Sink School. From time to time we also have additional Bratby material.
We take great pride in providing good service. Do contact us if you are searching for a particular artist or book and we will be more than happy to help.
