Pre-Raphaelite
The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, formed in 1848, were a group of English painters, poets and critics. The founding members were William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais and Dante Gabriel Rossetti, later to be joined by William Michael Rossetti, James Collinson, Frederic George Stephens and Thomas Woolner. However, others are now associated with the term Pre-Raphaelite, especially Sir Edward Burne-Jones.
